Welcome to Hire Me Mzansi (“Platform”, “we”, “us”, “our”). These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our website and services, including connecting job seekers, service providers, and employers or businesses. By using the Platform, you agree to comply with and be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

1. Purpose of the Platform

Hire Me Mzansi is an online directory and connection platform designed to help:

Job seekers and service providers (including domestic workers, gardeners, cleaners, carers, general workers, and small businesses offering services) create profiles and be discovered.
Households and businesses find local workers or service providers based on location, skills, and availability.

We do not employ users, do not act as an agent, and do not participate in hiring decisions, negotiations, or payments.

2. Eligibility

By using the Platform, you confirm that:

You are at least 18 years old.
All information you provide is accurate, complete, and truthful.
You have the legal right to work or hire in South Africa.

3. User Accounts and Profiles

3.1 Job Seekers & Service Providers

When creating a profile, you agree to:

Provide truthful information about your skills, services, experience, availability, and location.
Keep your profile information accurate and up to date.
Not misrepresent your identity, qualifications, or experience.

3.2 Employers & Businesses

When using the Platform to find workers or services, you agree to:

Use the Platform for lawful and legitimate hiring purposes only.
Conduct your own interviews, reference checks, and background checks.
Comply with all applicable labour and business laws.

4. No Employment or Agency Relationship

Hire Me Mzansi:

Is not an employer, recruiter, or labour broker.
Does not guarantee work, service availability, or employment outcomes.
Is not responsible for any agreements, payment, work quality, or disputes between users.
All work arrangements and agreements are strictly between users.

5. Communication and Contact

The Platform allows users to connect directly. Any communication, agreements, or payments are entirely the responsibility of the users involved.

We are not responsible for:

Missed messages
Non-payment
Dissatisfaction with services
Disputes between parties

6. User Conduct

You agree not to:

Post false, misleading, or harmful information. (including leaving a review on profiles)
Harass, threaten, or discriminate against others.
Use the Platform for illegal, fraudulent, or exploitative purposes.
Attempt to bypass platform safeguards or misuse user data.

We reserve the right to remove profiles or restrict access if rules are violated as well as contact the relevant authorities for any suspected criminal activity.

7. Content and Intellectual Property

All website content, branding, logos, and design belong to Hire Me Mzansi unless otherwise stated.

Users retain ownership of their profile content but grant Hire Me Mzansi a non-exclusive license to display and promote that content on the Platform.

8. Verification and Trust

While we aim to create a trusted community:

We do not verify identities, qualifications, references, or criminal records.
Users are responsible for performing their own due diligence.
Use of the Platform is at your own risk.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hire Me Mzansi is not liable for:

Any injury, loss, damage, or dispute arising from work arrangements.
Inaccurate or misleading user profiles.
Financial loss, missed opportunities, or dissatisfaction.
Any misuse of the Platform by users in any way.
Any activities conducted by users of the Platform whether unlawful or not.

Users of this Platform do not represent Hire Me Mzansi in any way.

10. Privacy

Your use of this Platform is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, store, and use personal information in compliance with South Africa’s POPIA.

11. Termination

We may:

Suspend or terminate user access without notice.
Remove profiles or content that violate these Terms.
Report suspicious profiles and users to the relevant authorities for suspected criminal activity.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

13. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
